Farm Bureau Foundation Names Four Scholarship Recipients

Four youth from McDonough County have been named recipients of the 2016 McDonough County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship.

 

During the past several years, the county Farm Bureau Foundation has provided assistance in scholarships to local individuals. The primary focus of the not-for-profit Foundation is to promote agricultural education. The Foundation is supported by individual contributions, including those from McDonough County Farm Bureau members.

Jennifer Schwerer, the daughter of Chris and Julie Schwerer, is a 2014 graduate of West Prairie High School. She received a $1,500 scholarship and is majoring in Agriculture Business at WIU.

 

Kody Bowman, the son of Lanny & Jennifer Bowman, is a 2015 graduate of West Prairie High School. He received a $500 scholarship and is majoring in Agriculture Business at WIU.

 

Trisha Ferguson, the daughter of Rick & Beth Ferguson, is a 2013 graduate of Bushnell Prairie-City High school. She received a $500 scholarship and attends the University of Illinois and is majoring in Human Development and Family Studies.

 

John Wischmeier, the son of Greg and Debbie Wischmeier, is a 2013 graduate of Mediapolis High School. He received a $500 scholarship and attends WIU majoring in Agriculture Business.
