A partnership of local agriculture groups is offering the “Save Your Sweetheart” grain safety program on Saturday, February 15th.

The Fulton County Farm Bureau, Mason County Farm Bureau, McDonough County Farm Bureau, Fulton FS, West Central FS, and the Grain Handling Safety Coalition (GHSC) are partnering to provide grain handling safety training for farmers, farm employees and commercial operators in Fulton County. The training is meant to help farmers and employees identify, avoid and eliminate the hazards of handling grain.

Engulfment and entrapment are on the rise nationwide.  Don’t become a statistic.  Learn how to identify, avoid, and eliminate hazards that result in thousands of injuries –even deaths—each year.

The program will be held at Fulton FS, located at 13075 N US 24 HWY, Lewistown from 8:30am to 12:30pm.  Refreshments will BE provided and door prizes will be awarded.  Call the Fulton County Farm Bureau at 547-3011 to register.   “Bring your spouse, child, grandchild, nephew, niece or ANYONE you care about,” said Fulton County Farm Bureau Manager Elaine Stone.  “It could save the life of someone you love.”
