Job Description
The adminstrative assistant/bookkeeper position will report to, be administratively responsible to, and be supervised/directed by the county Farm Bureau manager. This position will provide general administrative assistance and bookkeeping services, observing standard and approved bookkeeping and auditing practices and keeping track of all debts, liabilities, and incomes in a standard bookkeeping manner.
Job Responsibilities and tasks:
General:
- Manage daily administrative tasks and perform other duties as assigned.

Membership:
- Assist members and visitors, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist affiliated company employees and/or independent contractors with needs for membership information/related items at the approval of the Farm Bureau manager.
- Process membership dues collected.
- Produce mid-month and end of month membership reports.
- Provide support for membership drives and campaigns.
- Maintain membership records per county policies and procedures and operational procedures of the IAA and County Farm Bureau.

Bookkeeping:
- Maintain account spreadsheets.
- Record all receipts and deposits.
- Submit electronic payments for specified vendors.
- Prepare financial reports for auditor, accountant, board, etc.
- Record donations as instructed by management.
